| RATES:
South Main Studios charges a hourly rate. The studio cost is determined by the number of hours required for the mapping, recording and engineering of each song. Most simple songs take around 6-12 hours to record and mix. More orchestral works with complex arrangements will take take longer. Let us know what you need, and we'd be happy to work with you to create a custom quote for your project.
The cost of hiring a Producer, for-hire talent, or custom artwork design is in addition to the SMS flat rate, but we do run recording and design specials throughout the year. Your producer and for-hire talent will invoice you separately from SMS/Mindwatering, according to their own policies.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:
Payment for SMS and Mindwatering services is due in full upon services rendered. Before any files or DVD/CD copies are released to a client, all services must be paid in full. We accept cash, certified check/money order, VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express. We offer easy and secure online payments for deposits and balances for our client's convenience.
SMS requires a deposit at time of booking of 1 hour's time. Should a client cancel less than 72 hours before their scheduled studio time, then SMS cannot refund client's deposit. Deposits are fully refundable less $20 if client cancels more than 72 hours in advance of scheduled studio time. If client schedules a block of time and only uses part of that time, then the client will be billed for only the number of hours of services rendered, closest to the quarter hour. All SMS bookings are minimum 1 hour. Clients are considered booked and secured on the schedule when SMS receives a deposit. Deposits are required no later than 1 full week prior to any given recording session.
